TBM Avenger - Torpedo Bomber

The TBM is a WWII Grumman designed torpedo bomber built by General Motors. It has had extensive sheet metal rework to return it to the war time configuration. The interior and exterior have been repainted. At the present time it is undergoing a complete electrical rewire. It will require complete replacement or overhaul of all engine accessories, cockpit instrumentation, propeller and possibly the engine. It is planned to return it to flight status in about two to three years.

February 15, 2013 Valiant Air Command's TBM Avenger returning to the skies very soon! After close to a decade of restoration and thank's to the tireless effort's of our incredible volunteer restoration crew the Valiant Air Commands GrummanTBM Avenger completed her first post restoration taxi test this past Tuesday. Several major steps lie ahead but she's one step closer to returining to skies.
