Stewart S-51

P-51D fuselage
Pictured above is the latest addition to the VAC inventory of aircraft. It is a Stewart S-51, Donated by the Stockton Smith Family. An approximate 70% scale model of a P-51D built by North American Aircraft and by many accounts the reason the USA won WWII. Arguably many other aircraft contributed to the War Effort. as did all the Tanks, Artillery, Ships, Boats, and most of all the CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that came together as one society and proved that individual freedom is the most important commodity the world has ever produced.

The point is: The Valiant Air Command is committed to keeping alive this spirit of commitment that the World had never experienced before (or since) to insure that future generations will come to realize (hopefully) what has transpired to make it possible for them to live and enjoy the prosperity of today.

Progress on restoring the Stewart-S51.
Progress on restoring the Stewart-S51 as of March, 2008.
